By now, most of you have probably received your books and are ready to get started! Although the "official" blog study begins Monday with chapter 1 - there is an introduction we can start right now!
In the introduction we are reminded that the "little things" that make us feel loved, valued, respected, appreciated, etc, really do make an impact. Unfortunately, the little things we do that send a negative message also make an impact. Being purposeful in sending positive messages is a great first step in our study.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to complete the Relationship Builder on p. 15? Share about some of your experiences - What little things does your husband do that sends a loving message? What things do you purposefully do (or could do) to send that message?
Have fun being thoughtful and generous to your husband the next couple of days (or longer!) And don't look for anything in return, just enjoy his joy at receiving these positive messages!

I tried to warm Tully's towel in the dryer for him after his shower. Which he appreciated, but he doesn't want a hot towel after a hot shower, he says it makes him sweat and "the shower doesn't take."
ReplyDeleteWhen Tully comes home from work, I make a huge effort to happily and excitedly welcome him home. I never want him to dread coming home, but look forward to it as the best part of his day.
