Chapter 1 - Even a Great Husband Makes a Poor God

There were so many things in this chapter that were meaningful to me, that I think are foundationally important, and that I needed to be reminded of again - I'm not even sure which ones to highlight. What about you guys? Did anything in this chapter speak to you?

    I LOVED this chapter!!! It was a good reminder that if my relationship with God is not whole, then my relationship with my husband (and our childrem and our friends and family, etc.) cannot be complete!! There will always be something that is just not right if my heart is not aligned with God's! This chapter was a good reminder...it is certianly something that I need to continue to work on!!!

    I think it is so true that you first and foremost need to have your heart right with God, then you can work on other things. In the beginning of our marriage, it seems like we fought a little bit more and everytime it was when we strayed away from God. Either we had not been going to church or I wasn't praying like I should be or I wasn't devoting enough time to God. When our relationship is really good, it is always when we are right with God because he is the center of it all.
